A seven-day Magic Adventure loop from San José through the Poás Volcano, the rivers of Sarapiquí and the canals of Tortuguero to the hot springs of La Fortuna.
Cross Costa Rica from its capital to its wildest corners on this seven-day, six-night circuit. The journey begins in San José with time to enjoy the city, its culture and the museum district, then climbs to the imposing Poás Volcano to observe the local flora and fauna before descending to the Pozo Azul Reserve in Sarapiquí for an adventure activity such as rafting or zip-lining.
From Sarapiquí, a boat carries you through the canals to remote Tortuguero, where two nights give you time for a riverbank wildlife tour, a visit to Tortuguero National Park and, in season, the recommended turtle-nesting tour. The route then turns west to Arenal, with a brief stop at the Iguana Bridge on the way to La Fortuna de San Carlos. There you walk hanging bridges through a private reserve of cable bridges and ancient trees, and end the day soaking in the local hot springs with dinner service.
Accommodation with daily breakfast, private air-conditioned transfers, boat transport, entrance fees, the listed excursions and local Spanish/English-speaking guides are all included, from airport pickup to your final transfer back to San José.
