These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the travel services offered by ISA Travel Costa Rica S.A. (“Isa Travel”, “we”, “us”). By using our website or requesting a quote, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
ISA Travel Costa Rica S.A. (cédula jurídica 3-101-840323), registered at San Rafael Abajo, Desamparados, San José, Costa Rica, is a Costa Rican inbound (receptive) tour operator, licensed by the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT). Tourism Declaration (Declaratoria Turística): DGRE-0174-2026.
2. About this website
The content on this site, including descriptions, itineraries and prices, is provided for general information and inspiration. Prices are shown in US dollars (USD), are indicative “from” amounts, and may change until a booking is confirmed in writing. Images are illustrative.
3. Quotes and bookings
Submitting the quote or contact form, or messaging us, is a request for information; it does not create a confirmed booking. A booking becomes a contract only once we confirm the details and price in writing and any required deposit or payment has been received. We may decline or cancel a request before confirmation.
4. Prices, taxes and payment
Quoted prices apply to the service described (for example, per private vehicle for transfers, or per person for tours) and, unless stated otherwise, do not include value-added tax (IVA), gratuities or personal expenses. Final prices and payment arrangements are confirmed by our team. We do not process payments through this website.
5. Changes and cancellations
Once a service is confirmed, the following standard policy applies unless your written confirmation states otherwise:
- Cancellations more than 48 hours before the service: no charge;
- Cancellations less than 24 hours before the service: 75% of the price;
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows: 100% of the price.
Transfers include up to 20 minutes of waiting time. We may need to modify or cancel a service for reasons of safety, weather, force majeure or supplier availability; in that case we will offer a reasonable alternative or a refund of amounts paid for the affected service.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for: holding a valid passport and any required visas; arriving on time at agreed pick-up points; providing accurate booking information; obtaining adequate travel and medical insurance; and behaving safely and respectfully toward guides, drivers, other travellers and the environment.
7. Third-party suppliers
Some services are operated by independent local suppliers (such as transport companies, guides, hotels and activity operators). We select our partners carefully and act as the organiser of your trip; those services are also subject to the suppliers’ own terms.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Costa Rican law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including natural events, road conditions, strikes or third-party actions. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including under Costa Rica’s Consumer Protection Law No. 7472.
9. Intellectual property
The website, the Isa Travel name and logo, text and design are owned by or licensed to us and may not be reused without permission. Some photographs are subject to third-party licences; see our Photo credits page.
10. Privacy
Your use of this site is also governed by our Privacy.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any dispute will be subject to the competent courts of Costa Rica, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows the latest version. Your continued use of the site means you accept the current terms.
