Spend a full day immersed in the lush Caribbean rainforest on this action-packed one-day adventure across two very different environments. The journey begins with a boat tour along the Río Sarapiquí, deep in the tropical jungle, where the river flows toward the Caribbean Sea. As you navigate, keep an eye out for monkeys, birds, crocodiles and the natural flora and fauna lining the riverbanks.
The day continues at a private reserve (Selva Verde, Pozo Azul or La Tirimbina) with a typical lunch, walks along the reserve's trails, and the chance to spot reptiles, poison frogs and monkeys. You'll cross one of the area's longest hanging bridges, suspended around 35 metres above the Río Sucio, and live the Costa Rican chocolate experience at La Tirimbina, learning its history and discovering the ancestral process alongside one of the country's most experienced producers.
